BIBLE STUDIES
The Office of Adult Faith Formation welcomes you to “The Great Bible Timeline Adventure”. This is a DVD series of Bible studies hosted by EWTN’s renowned Jeff Cavins. Bible studies are tried and true ways to increase in knowledge of the Word of God, to better understand our Catholic faith, and to improve our relationship with the Holy Trinity and one another.
For those who have never participated in a Bible study before, the studies have been sub-titled by the amounts of reading and study questions one must prepare for each session. Yes, there is homework! Bible 101 is for beginners who want to begin the journey. It requires a limited amount of reading and time to answer questions for an 8-10 week period. Bible 202 is for intermediates who are willing to spend more time reading and answering questions. The study may be anywhere from 8-24 weeks. Bible 303 is for those who wish to read deeply the scriptures provided.
Bible study is a good way to strengthen one’s ties with others, since small group sharing is always a part of the plan. Meet new people who will support you as you support them on this journey to the Kingdom. If you are new to our parishes, Bible study is a great way to make new friends. Ascension Press’ The Bible Timeline with Jeff Cavins set to Begin on February 7th
The Bible Timeline with Jeff Cavins is an amazing DVD Bible Study which features Bible scholar Jeff Cavins. Participants study the genealogy of Jesus following an ingenius chart which pulls together all of Salvation History. Due to the generosity and enthusiasm of four of our parishioners, we are able to offer two sessions: one beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday mornings and one beginning at 7 p.m. on Tuesday evenings. Both classes will be offered in the St. Joan of Arc Room downstairs in the Community Building at OLHR. For more information, contact us.
