Adult Faith Formation
Living the Catholic faith is a 24/7, 365 day-a-year proposition. To live our faith well, we must grow in the Spirit, as St. Paul says in Romans 8:26-27: “ In the same way, the Spirit too comes to the aid of our weakness; for we do not know how to spray as we ought, but the Spirit itself intercedes with inexpressible groanings. And the one who searches hearts knows what is the intention of the Spirit, because it intercedes for the holy ones according to God’s will.”
Our faith teaches that we are to grow in God until our very exit from this life into eternal life. Here at the parishes of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary and St. Leo we are committed to the pursuit of personal holiness: a personal holiness that will bear fruit in our personal, pastoral, and community lives. On-going formation is offered through participation in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, Bible studies, ministries, conferences, and especially, through the celebration of the Liturgy (Holy Mass) and the sacraments.
“’I want to see God’ expresses the true desire of man. Thirst for God is quenched by the water of eternal life.” Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) 2557
