Our Faith

What Does It Mean to Be Catholic?

First of all, the word “Catholic” means “universal” in the sense that “Where there is Christ Jesus, there is the Catholic Church.  “Where there is Christ Jesus, there is the Catholic Church.”  Catechism of the Catholic Church ¶830   The founder of our Church is Jesus Christ, savior of the world, who by virtue of his redeeming life, death, and resurrection has reconciled us to God the Father.  By the power of the Holy Spirit, Christ’s Church continues this saving mission of reconciliation and love.

Whether you are already a practicing Catholic, a person of another Christian faith tradition, or someone who is looking to answer the question of “Is God real, and if so, who is He?”, this is the place to find out.

Here at the parishes of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary and St. Leo, our mission is to help people Come to Christ.  For those outside of the catholic faith who are involved in a search for Truth, we offer inquiry sessions in our RCIA program.  If you are a practicing Catholic who is seeking to understand our faith, adult faith formation or study groups can be found in a variety of offerings.  If you are a parent fostering bent on fostering your child’s faith, youth faith formation opportunities abound.

Welcome from the Body of Christ, the Church…welcome to our FAITH!
