40 Days for Life Begins Ash Wednesday, 2012
Dear Friends for Life- Today, begins the 40 Days for Life Campaign – world wide. During this Lenten season, it is my hope that you will think about the poorest of the poor, those lives that are directly effected by abortion. Lent is a time to think about those less fortunate than ourselves, and the number of those who face other challenges in life like homelessness, loneliness, poverty, joblessness, desperation are on the rise. We live in a tumultuous world, and God put us here for a reason; to be beacons of light, we light the way to Christ for others- Every time we do something that builds others up, say positive, encouraging words, and show love, we increase that light
When we come to the abortuary in Greenland, we bring the Light of Christ. We expose that evil is taking place and it will not be tolerated. We bring hope, healing and power, with our prayers. We stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves, not only for the little babies that we hope to spare, but their mothers who need our support, who are often coerced into doing something that they know is wrong and many feel they have no choice.
Come to pray during the 40 Days for Life – often – you can make it a part of your Lenten sacrifice. You do not have to wait specifically for the week your parish is hosting in order to participate; the parishes host weeks to ensure there is coverage. We encourage you to go often, and keep the Joan G. Lovering Health Center, the town of Greenland, the workers, the board of directors, the property, the police and most importantly, the mothers and their babies in your prayers each day. Pray for those who go to pray at the abortuary if you cannot. Both the Rosary and the Mercy Chaplet are powerful weapons against this evil. To register to pray, please click here.

40 Days for Life
Beginning on Ash Wednesday -
Joan G. Lovering Health Center, formerly the Femenist Health Center of Portsmouth
Open for prayer 7 days a week – 7am to 7pm.
It is advisable not to go alone if you can help it; bring a friend, and bring a camera – two cameras are better. But as this campaign grows each time, it is likely you may have other prayer warriors already there.
May God bless you -
Nancy
