A MINISTRY OF HEALING FOR THE BEREAVED
The Consoler’s Group is a ministry of lay people who are called to assist the priest in caring for the needs of bereaved parishioners. It was established in 2006. Lay ministers serve in a number of roles which include presiding at wakes and interments, as well as serving as acolytes, lectors and extraordinary ministers of communion at funerals.
