Hospitality Ministries
Offering Welcome and Support
“Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect hospitality, for through it some have entertained angels.” Hebrews 13:1-2Hospitality ministries offer welcome and support to those who may be familiar brothers and sisters in Christ and to those who are seeking a faith family. Our parishes offer several opportunities for our parishioners to serve in these ways. These ministries touch the hearts of those they reach in profound ways, such as the Mercy Circle or the Invitation Committee.
Coffee and Donuts
The ministry of Coffee and Donuts takes place after the Sunday morning 9:00 a.m. holy mass at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. Teams of individuals or families offer to set up and host a Coffee and Donut hour approximately once a month. Working together as a family is a wonderful way to model humble service to children. This is one of the best-loved traditions. Families and friends gather after holy mass to continue the fellowship. Lively conversation, catching up on friendships and making new friendships are all a part of the hour.
Food & Hospitality Committee
This committee hosts special events for our parishes. Whether it is as simple as a Welcome Brunch, a parish meeting of ministers, or even cake and cookies after the inspirational Easter Vigil, the committee offers a place to gather around another “table” for fellowship and companionship. Bakers and servers, those who set-up and those who clean-up are all necessary to the important work they do.
St. Leo Church Pot-Luck Luncheon
This committee hosts a Pot-Luck Luncheon after the 11:00 a.m. holy mass at St. Leo’s Church. Gathering around foods prepared by fellow parishioners offers an important time of fellowship and parish identity. All are welcome! The committee gathers to set-up before holy mass and to receive those items which are brought by parishioners. After the luncheon, many hands make light work as the gathering space is cleaned and brought to order.
